Macular granular dystrophy is an autosomal recessive genetic disease characterized by corneal opacities responsible for a decrease in visual acuity. We report a case of bilateral granular dystrophy associated with cataract in a young adult seen at Zinder National Hospital. This is a 51-year-old patient with no significant personal or family ophthalmological history who consulted the ophthalmology department of the National Hospital of Zinder for progressive and bilateral visual acuity decline that has been evolving for several years. The ophthalmological examination of the day noted a decrease in visual acuity at a distance in bilateral., corneal deposits in stain and a grade II cortico-nuclear cataract was noted. Immediate bisequential cataract surgery was performed using the phacoAlternative technique with simple postoperative follow-up and good visual recovery.
