Résumé

The acardiac twin, or TRAP (twin-reversed arterialperfusion) sequence, or acardius acranius or acardiac mass is a severe pathology of monochorionic twin pregnancies. It is characterized by the absence of development of cardiac structures, associated with a spectrum of developmental and reductional malformations in the fetus called acardiac mass. We report a case diagnosed at 23 weeks in a 37-year-old multiparous woman. The ultrasound appearance is that of an oedematous mass in the upper part in place of the thorax and the fetal head, associating fluid and echogenic zones. Retrograde arterial flow in the cord of the acardiac fetus.
